The MaMaSELF registration for the years 2015-2017 runs until 31 January (non-European), 27 February (European students) and 30 April 2015 (without scholarship).

The two-year Master’s program “Materials Science Exploring Large Scale Facilities (MaMaSELF)” starts in 2015. MaMaSELF is part of the EU Erasmus Mundus program – at least once relocation to another major research institution is mandatory. The partner institutions are distributed all over Europe. So there are many opportunities to implement this requirement, one is the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum. Application requirement is a bachelor’s degree in materials science, physics, chemistry, earth sciences or related disciplines. Instruction language at all partner sites is English, so good knowledge of English is essential.
The main advantages of the Master program are:

  • Study in an international environment
  • Obtain two master degrees from two different universities (Rennes, Munich – LMU or TUM, Turin, Montpellier) with one MSc course
  • Summerschool on Neutron and Synchrotron Techniques in Montpellier
  • Partner institutions in USA, Japan, Switzerland, India, Russia
  • Additional EU-Grants: 9.000 Euros for EU students and 22.000 Euros for Non-EU students.
